I officially exited this particular academic and social hell. It was so anti-climatic. During the final siege, people acted like graduating would be like the last scene in Grease; but there was no carnival, no flying car and no transformations. There were just silly hats, empty optimism and looming questions. Anyways - here are my final thoughts on how to make your law school experience better.
1. Rack up your Westlaw and Lexis points and get yourself an awesome consolation prize at the end of it all. Besides you might learn something interesting.
2. Take all the free stuff you can get (pens, cups, hats, highlighters). Don't be shy, just walk right up and take a handful.
3. Read less, study barbri outlines more. Really, the classroom confusion is unnecessary, just buy old barbri books and study from them.
4. Don't make an ass of yourself on facebook. That means no name calling and no grade posting.
5. Make friends with your financial aid person - they know important stuff about how to handle your debt.
6. Take classes you are interested in. Fuck 'bar' classes; they are worthless and boring.
7. Get a pet. Your professors and grades might say you are stupid, but your dog never will.
I wish all law students good luck in the resistance against mindless conformity and paying off their loans.

This advice makes me feel a lot better. I start law school in August and many people have told me that I will regret having a dog (rude...I know). Thanks for the post!
Good luck, just know that it is totally normal to cry in law school. I did.
